Biscuits Get Clutch Win Versus Pensacola
Starting pitcher Steven Wenger pitched well enough to help the Montgomery Biscuits beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 4-3. Matt Laws earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Montgomery improves to 44-27 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.

Montgomery needed the clutch hitting of Alex Santiago to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 4-3. For the game, Santiago had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Evan Salinas.
