Braves Prevail, 3-1, Over Jackson
|
Starting Pitcher Chris Valentine was lights out, as the Mississippi Braves beat the Jackson Generals, 3-1. Hector Quinteros picked up his 1st save of the season. Jackson has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Andres Durazo? The Mississippi shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Braves on top, 2-0. For the game, Durazo had 1 double and 2 singles in 3 at-bats.
"Chris did a good job mixing and matching," said Mississippi manager Xavier Coates.
