Shuckers Suffer 5-2 Setback
Biloxi got a valiant performance from pitcher Andy Kader, but it wasn't enough to beat the Montgomery Biscuits. Montgomery won the game, 5-2. Kader threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Jimmy Thompson picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-7. He struck out 5 in 8.1 innings. The win puts Montgomery at 40-32 this season.

Montgomery needed the clutch hitting of Huai-yu Zhang to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 3-2. For the game, Zhang had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Zhang described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
