Martin Spins Shutout Against Generals
|
In an impressive mound performance, Jeremy Martin of the Tennessee Smokies checked the Jackson Generals on a 8-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Jackson manager Nick Jackson. "Martin kept us confused the whole game."
The Tennessee hurler rang up 4 strikeouts and issued no walks in his 4-0 shutout victory.
On his stats sheet this season Martin shows a 4-3 record, 11 starts, 71 innings, 61 strikeouts and a 2.92 ERA.
