Meza Goes Off, But Shuckers Win
Montgomery right fielder Jose Meza had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Meza went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3, even as Biloxi beat the Biscuits, 8-6. Biloxi now sits in first place in the North Division at 44-30.

The Shuckers benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Tyler Gordon at bat and Biloxi leading 6-5, the Montgomery miscue allowed Biloxi to plate 1 and take the lead, 7-5.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Gordon, "but we got it done."
