The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Mobile BayBears, 6-4, with youngster Tommy Starnes playing a key role. Starnes went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Biscuits in the win. Montgomery now owns a record of 47-32.

Starnes had a key at-bat for Montgomery in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and gave Montgomery an early 3-0 lead.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Starnes told the Montgomery Daily.
