Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Lookouts
The Chattanooga Lookouts topped the Biloxi Shuckers, 3-2, in Southern League action at MGM Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chattanooga pitcher Alan Weirauch. Chattanooga reliever Butch Reilly was the winner. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Mike Kretchmar. Mike Ellis got credit for the save for Chattanooga. It was his 9th of the year.

Chattanooga used the timely hitting of Fernando Torres to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lookouts on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Torres called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."

Chattanooga is now 46-35, Biloxi 48-33.
