Biloxi Beats Pensacola, 9-5

The Biloxi Shuckers powered past the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 9-5, at Five County Stadium. Chris Renteria went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Aidan Jennings earned save number 1 this season. The Shuckers are now 36-47, while the Blue Wahoos fall to 66-17.
Zach Baltzell had a big 2-run double for the Shuckers in the top of the eighth inning. With Biloxi leading 6-5 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Allvaro Latro and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shuckers ahead, 8-5.
In postgame remarks, Renteria said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
