Nick Gillett, who is tied for 4th in the SL in triples with 5, led Pensacola to a win over Biloxi. The final score was 9-4. Gillett scored 2 times, while going 4 for 5. The first baseman also was credited with 1 run batted in. Aaron Humphrey was the winner. He's now 5-1. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Bryant Hays. The last-place Shuckers dropped to 33-53.
Ryan Kralik had a big 2-run home run for the Blue Wahoos in the bottom of the third inning. With Pensacola leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Bryant Hays, who leads the SL in complete games with 3, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Blue Wahoos on top, 5-1.
"The credit goes to our offense," said Pensacola manager Evan Salinas.
