Falcon, Shuckers Fall to Smokies
Despite a great performance by Biloxi designated hitter Jose Falcon, the Tennessee Smokies defeated the Shuckers by the score of 13-7 at MGM Park. Falcon was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Smokies improved to 38-51.

The Smokies got a big hit from second baseman Leo Garcia. In the top of the seventh, Garcia smacked a 2-run triple off Biloxi pitcher Tony Torro. It was his 4th triple of the season. Suddenly, the Smokies were ahead, 8-7.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Garcia. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
