The Biloxi Shuckers picked up a win at MGM Park, taking down the Tennessee Smokies, 3-1. Starting pitcher Jose Cruz was a big reason why. The Shuckers have now won 4 straight.

Brandon Moore, who is tied for 9th in the SL in runs scored with 43, came through for Biloxi with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. The second baseman went 3 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 run batted in.

"From pitch one to the last pitch, Jose was aggressive," said Biloxi manager Alejandro Reyes.
