Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Blue Wahoos
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos defeated the Montgomery Biscuits, 7-5, at Five County Stadium today. Leading the charge for Pensacola was center fielder Nelson Valencia. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Pensacola reliever Dusty Sledge got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Joe White was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Wyatt Smits, his 12th.

Valencia had a timely hit for Pensacola in the bottom of the eighth. With Montgomery trailing 5-3, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Pensacola.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Valencia told the Pensacola Daily.

The second-place Biscuits have lost 5 straight games.
