Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Jacksonville Suns and Mobile BayBears.
Jacksonville starter Earl Connolly pitched well against the Mobile BayBears at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. In 7.2 innings, Connolly surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.
Steven Charest had a big 2-run triple for the Suns in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Jacksonville leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Steve Grimsley and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 7th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Suns ahead, 4-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Charest told the Jacksonville Observer.
