Bodine Excels in 11-3 Montgomery Win
|
The Montgomery Biscuits soundly defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 11-3, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Bobby Bodine let his bat do the talking. He was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Montgomery. The Biscuits go to 24-72 with the win.
Tris Reich cracked a home run off Dustin Walker in the bottom of the third. His grand slam blast put the Biscuits on top, 5-2. In all, Reich had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Bodine told the Montgomery Citizen. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
