Blue Wahoos Come Up Short at Chattanooga, 3-2
The Chattanooga Lookouts topped the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 3-2, at AT&T Field. Chattanooga designated hitter Butch Melone was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Edgar Gomez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-6. The Lookouts raised their record to 56-46.

Scott Sikkink helped out the Chattanooga cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
