The Mississippi Braves went down to defeat to Johnny Grove and his Montgomery teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Biscuits. The winning pitcher was Grove, now 8-8. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. Montgomery goes to 40-65, Mississippi to 61-44.

Andy Molina had a big 2-run home run for the Biscuits in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Montgomery leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Chris Valentine, who is tied for 6th in the SL with a 9.7 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Biscuits on top, 3-0.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Molina.
