Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Montgomery Biscuits take on the Mississippi Braves.

Montgomery registered a win at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium by beating the Mississippi Braves, 5-1. Pitcher Mike Buchman was one reason why the Biscuits triumphed. At 56-50, the Biscuits find themselves in first place in the South Division.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium seemed to enjoy watching the Southern League action.

"Mike was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Montgomery manager George Woolbright.
