The Tennessee Smokies trumped the Montgomery Biscuits, 10-6, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Tennessee right fielder Miles Thrash was terrific. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Tennessee bumps their record to 52-59 with the win.

John Chapman came through with a big-time hit for Tennessee. The designated hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 10-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

In postgame remarks, Chapman simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
