The Mobile BayBears picked up a win at Hank Aaron Stadium, downing the Jacksonville Suns, 5-2. On the mound for Mobile was right-hander Dan Couture, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 8 innings, Couture surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. David Nickerson notched his 3rd save in 5 chances.

Brian Mizrahi dealt the Suns a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Mobile leading 1-0, Mizrahi hit a 2-0 sinker for a 2-run single.
