Biscuits 5-2 Winners Over Tennessee
|
Montgomery Biscuits starter Mike Buchman pitched well against the Tennessee Smokies at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Buchman, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. With the win, Montgomery pushed its record to 68-45.
Mike Grimm had a big 2-run double for the Biscuits in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Montgomery leading 3-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Andy Stember and swatted a double to left. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Biscuits ahead, 5-1.
"We did a lot of things right," said Grimm.
