The Pensacola Blue Wahoos rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Luis Sanchez to a win, beating the Biloxi Shuckers, 3-2, at Five County Stadium. The win makes Pensacola 63-50.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Alex Valdivia came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Biloxi pitcher Bengie McNealy, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Pensacola on top, 3-2.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Sanchez.
