Aguirre hits 2 home runs to Ignite Shuckers Offense
The Biloxi Shuckers beat the Tennessee Smokies, 8-7, in part because of first baseman Carlos Aguirre. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Biloxi reliever Mike Ross picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Alvaro Trujillo was saddled with the loss. Their 62-51 record puts the Shuckers second in the North Division.

Early in the game, Aguirre had a 2-run home run for Biloxi. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Shuckers on top, 5-3.

"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Aguirre. "Winning helps."
