Las Vegas and St. Louis took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

In a low-scoring game between the Las Vegas Hustle and the St. Louis Cardinals, pitcher Russ Einhorn was the difference-maker. The Las Vegas right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Hustle win. The win went to Mason Martindale in relief, making him now 1-0. Chris Bryant took the loss for St. Louis. Ryan McLellan, who finished 3rd in the NL in saves with 43 last year, earned the save for Las Vegas.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Bryan Tillman to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hustle on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Einhorn said.

Las Vegas goes to 2-2.
