Royals Snag 6-2 Win
|
Kyle Archibeque did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Milwaukee Brewers from being beaten, 6-2, to the Kansas City Royals at Miller Park. Archibeque went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kansas City reliever Dallas Roden was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ricardo Baeza took the loss. Ryan Washington earned the save, his 2nd.
Antonio Ventura, who finished 3rd in the AL in stolen bases with 54 last year, chipped in a solo home run for Kansas City in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Ventura. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
Milwaukee drops to 0-4.
