A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Jackson Generals.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos downed the Jackson Generals, 7-5, the largest share of the credit belonging to third baseman Francisco Rivera. On the day, Rivera went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Blue Wahoos. Luis Sanchez, the winner, is now 5-1. He struck out 5 and walked 5 over 7 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Mario Rangel earned his 4th save, after closing out the game.

Rivera had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-0 splitter from Tony Walsh, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Blue Wahoos a 6-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Rivera.
