Lookouts Win, 3-2, at Tennessee

In a low-scoring contest between the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Tennessee Smokies, 24-year old right-handed pitcher Marco Ayala proved to be the difference. The Chattanooga right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Lookouts win. Ayala picked up the win for Chattanooga, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Earning his 10th save for Chattanooga was Steve Buck.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Steve Richardson? The Chattanooga center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lookouts on top, 3-2. For the game, Richardson had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
