A good performance from first baseman Sean Howlett helped the Biloxi Shuckers defeat the Mobile BayBears, 5-4. Howlett went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times for the Shuckers. Mike Kretchmar finished to wrap up his 11th save. The Shuckers now have a mark of 77-41.

Jimmy Stanic helped out the Biloxi cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a double.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Howlett. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
