The Lookouts grabbed a win, 2-1, at Smokies Park, overcoming a fine effort from Tennessee pitcher Matt Holman. Holman went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Marcos Miranda earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-2. The Lookouts sit in third place in the North Division with a record of 61-57.

Chattanooga needed the clutch hitting of Ricky Bermea to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lookouts on top, 2-1. For the game, Bermea had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Good ballgame," said Tennessee manager Steve Schwab. "But we came up on the short end."
