The Montgomery Biscuits picked up a win at Regions Field, downing the Birmingham Barons, 3-0. On the mound for Montgomery was right-hander Mike Buchman, who played a pivotal role in the win. Buchman, now 10-10, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing no runs. At 40-79, the Biscuits claim last place in the South Division.

Montgomery used a clutch at-bat from Forrest Clayton to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
