Late Offense Lifts Montgomery to 5-3 Victory
|
The Montgomery Biscuits got a rain-soaked win over the Mississippi Braves.
The Montgomery Biscuits dealt the Mississippi Braves a 5-3 loss at Trustmark Park. Ricky Suarez, who is tied for 8th in the SL in doubles with 24, went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times. Floyd Balcome, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.
Marcos Rosario drove in one run against the Braves. With the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Montgomery in front, 4-3.
"Nice to get this one," said Rosario. "We've been scuffling."
The Biscuits move to 26-93 with the win.
