The timely hitting of Jared Lightfoot helped the Montgomery Biscuits down the Jacksonville Suns, 10-4. Lightfoot was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Biscuits. The winner was Steven Wenger, who threw 87 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits. The Biscuits raised their record to 64-58.

The Biscuits got a big hit from right fielder Brad Duncan. Facing Jacksonville pitcher Raul Martinez in the bottom of the eighth, Duncan pounded a grand slam home run to center. His 12th home run of the season put the Biscuits ahead, 10-2.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lightfoot told the Montgomery News.
