The Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Jackson Generals obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos defeated the Jackson Generals, 6-5, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to center fielder John Young, who was 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Blue Wahoos. The win went to Bennie Hanson in relief. His record improves to 7-6. Jacob Fields took the loss.

The Blue Wahoos got a clutch hit from second baseman Johnny Johnson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blue Wahoos.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Young.

Pensacola now owns a record of 77-48.
