Lookouts Hand Suns 6-3 Loss
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Chattanooga Lookouts and Jacksonville Suns.
Lookouts left fielder Kevin Yarber put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the Jacksonville Suns. Yarber was 4-5 with 4 singles for Chattanooga in the contest. Mike Kemp, the winner, improved to 10-12. He held the Suns to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Vince Moellering, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.
Jimmy Fourhman helped out the Chattanooga cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Good win," said Fourhman. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
Chattanooga has run its win streak to 4 straight.
