Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Minnesota Twins got the win.

Pablo Castaneda pitched well, but the New York Yankees still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium. Minnesota reliever Ron Hazard was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Pablo Castaneda took the loss. Adam Pennington earned the save for Minnesota.

Hsi-chuen Tian had a direct impact on the outcome. Tian contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Minnesota up, 2-0.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Tian told a Minnesota Herald reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."

Minnesota is off to a hot start at 4-1.
