Jesus Cruz was sneaky fast, on the mark, and hard to hit. He led the Jacksonville Suns to victory, 1-0, blanking the Chattanooga Lookouts on 1 hit. He had 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," Chattanooga skipper Nick Allison told reporters after the shutout loss. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
