The Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Jacksonville Suns, 6-3, at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The win was due in part to center fielder Zach Fiskum, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Travis Netsch earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 5-7. Pablo Herrera earned the save, his 3rd.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Omar Tafolla? The 24-year old catcher Tafolla stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Chattanooga up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
Chattanooga manager Nick Allison was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
The win makes Chattanooga 68-59.
