Blue Wahoos Get Clutch Win Versus Jackson
|
Pensacola turned a good effort from starter Alfonso Camacho into a win over the Jackson Generals at Five County Stadium. The Blue Wahoos won the game, 3-2. At 78-49, the Blue Wahoos find themselves in second place in the North Division.
Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 23-year old right fielder Alex Valdivia had a chance to be the hero. Jackson pitcher Josh Gordon wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Valdivia hit a sacrifice fly. The Blue Wahoos had themselves a thrilling win.
"This place was rockin'," said Valdivia.
