Barons Snag 2-0 Win
|
Birmingham Barons starter Willie Hinojos was in fine form against the Montgomery Biscuits at Regions Field, leading his team to a win, 2-0. Tony Gomez got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances. The Barons raised their record to 83-47.
Had Greg Petersen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Petersen hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-0, in favor of the Barons.
"We did just enough to win," Hinojos said.
