Pensacola parlayed a decent outing from starter Andy Bertrand into a solid win over the Chattanooga Lookouts. The final score was 6-2. Bertrand picked up the win for Pensacola, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. The second-place Blue Wahoos are now 71-59, the Lookouts 66-64.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alex Valdivia? The Pensacola right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Wahoos on top, 2-0. For the game, Valdivia had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
