Wenger Sensational for Biscuits
|
Pitcher Steven Wenger was rock solid in helping the Montgomery Biscuits beat the Mississippi Braves, 3-0. Kevin Albert, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The first-place Biscuits, at 81-52, now lead their division by 10½ games.
Wenger scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Biscuits. Now 14-8, Wenger has struck out 151 this season.
"Steven was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Montgomery manager George Woolbright.
