Pensacola Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Grove
The Biloxi Shuckers took on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at MGM Park.

Pensacola first baseman Chad Grove had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-7, to Biloxi at MGM Park. Grove was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Andy Dale picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 11-6. Picking up the save was Andy McDougall, his 2nd.

Russ Morren, who is tied for 7th in the SL in triples with 5, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Biloxi left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Shuckers in front, 5-4.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Morren told the Biloxi Bulletin.

The Shuckers improved their record to 84-50 by beating Pensacola.
