Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Jackson Generals and Montgomery Biscuits.

Montgomery Biscuits starter Travis Baca hurled his team past the Jackson Generals, 3-1. The win gives Montgomery a season record of 79-56.

Melvin Casasola dealt the Generals a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Montgomery leading 1-0, Casasola, who is tied for 5th in the SL in doubles with 30, hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

Baca attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
