At Five County Stadium, the Montgomery Biscuits and Pensacola Blue Wahoos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos pitcher Dave Vallejo was in fine form, leading his team past the Montgomery Biscuits, 3-0. The Blue Wahoos saw their win-loss record go to 73-64. At the same time, the Biscuits fell to 74-63.

Vallejo dominated for Pensacola, raising his record to 7-9. Montgomery hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 9.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Vallejo said.
