The Montgomery Biscuits downed the Biloxi Shuckers, 8-1, at MGM Park. Stellar pitching by Alex Norton had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The Biscuits lead the South Division by 11 games.

Tony Parrish had a big 2-run home run for the Biscuits in the top of the sixth inning. With Montgomery leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Leo Cabrera and swatted a home run to right. It was his 15th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Biscuits ahead, 3-0.

"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Carlos Estrada.
