The Mobile BayBears picked up a win at Hank Aaron Stadium, downing the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 4-3. On the mound for Mobile was left-hander Alex Sanchez, who played a pivotal role in the win. After today's action, Mobile sits at 64-75, while Pensacola falls to 78-61.
Had Elijah Higginson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Higginson hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the BayBears.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Sanchez.
