Brewers Win, 3-2, in Extra Frames
|
Miller Park was host to some intense drama.
Starting pitcher Ron Stein held up his part of the bargain, helping the Milwaukee Brewers stymie the San Francisco Giants, 3-2. Cesar de Lara, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits.
Milwaukee won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Adam Newman on the mound for San Francisco, designated hitter Chris Marcheski hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Brewers fans to their feet.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Stein.
After losing, San Francisco is 2-3.
