New York Loses Again, 8-2
|
The Minnesota Twins thumped the New York Yankees, 8-2, at Yankee Stadium. Hsi-chuen Tian was a big reason his team got the win. Tian was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Twins, now 5-1, have been playing some good baseball.
With Minnesota leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Tian hit a changeup from Ben McKie for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 7-2.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said New York manager Mike Hanson.
