3-1 Loss to Dodgers Extends Arizona Losing Streak
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-1. Los Angeles pitcher and Murrieta, California, native Eric Beattie led the way. The winning pitcher was Beattie, now 1-1. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. Dennis Emmons got credit for the save for Los Angeles. It was his 3rd of the year.
Mang He, the 32-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. He contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-0.
"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Arizona manager Terrell Bailey, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
The loss drops Arizona to 0-6.
