Reese Lifts White Sox to 7-3 Win
|
Chicago took on Minnesota in front of a lively crowd.
Behind the bravura of second baseman Joe Reese, the Chicago White Sox topped the Minnesota Twins by the score of 7-3. Reese was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the White Sox. Danny Torres got the save, the 1st for him this season.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the fifth, Reese had a key at-bat for Chicago. With a runner on 3rd, Reese hit a run-scoring single off Greg Hoppe, making the score 3-2, White Sox.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Chicago manager Bryce Reigns.
The White Sox raised their record to 4-3.
