Lindblom Slaps 5 Hits
|
It was a good day at Colorado Field. The Colorado Rockies whipped the Washington Nationals, 11-1, and third baseman Danny Lindblom showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Lindblom told BNN reporters after the game.
Rockies manager Trevor Taka told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 25-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Danny hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Danny Lindblom singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Gil in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Roberto Trejo in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Lindblom is batting .536 with 15 hits, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs, 5 walks, .606 OBP and has scored 7 runs.
