The Texas Rangers beat the Boston Red Sox, 9-5, with major props going to catcher Chris Calder. On the day, Calder was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Rangers. The win went to Alejandro Quintero in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ernesto Balderas took the loss. Earning his 3rd save for Texas was Josh Payne.
