Giants Find a Way to Win
|
San Francisco turned a good performance from starting pitcher Doug Martin into a 3-2 triumph over the New York Mets in 10 innings at Citi Field. The loss drops New York to 1-5.
San Francisco needed the clutch hitting of Matt Milone to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Giants on top, 3-2. For the game, Milone had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"That's baseball," said New York manager Rodney Smith. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
