Despite a great performance by Houston center fielder Zack Atwood, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Astros by the score of 5-4 at Rogers Centre. Atwood went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Toronto reliever Julio Perez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Jeff Hank. The loss drops Houston to 3-5.

Toronto got a clutch hit from Miguel Polanco. The left fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Polanco.
