The umbrellas came out during the Modesto-Lancaster contest at John Thurman Field.

Modesto picked up a win at John Thurman Field, bumping off the Lancaster JetHawks, 5-2. Pitcher Seth Bollenbacher was a major reason the Nuts emerged victorious. Tony Cotto earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

One pivotal at-bat came in the top of the sixth with one out. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the JetHawks trailing 5-2, Seth Bollenbacher needed to make a quality pitch. He threw a first pitch slider to retire Brian Giltner, who hit into a double play.

Lancaster is 1-1 after the loss.
